Just Stay Quiet
"JUST STAY QUIET"
Those were the words Mohamed Atta broadcast from the cockpit of American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001 as he and the other Islamic hijackers steered the plane toward the North Tower. “Nobody move. Everything will be okay. If you try to make any moves, you’ll endanger yourself and the airplane. Just stay quiet.” They counted on silence. They got it. Minutes later that plane slammed into the World Trade Center.
Then came Flight 93. Passengers learned what was happening. They did not stay quiet. They said “Let’s roll.” They fought. The plane went down in a Pennsylvania field instead of the Capitol or the White House. Those passengers saved lives because they refused the terrorists’ instruction.
That is the lesson. The only hijacked plane that missed its target was the one where Americans did not stay silent.
The same tactic is used today. Do not name the ideology. Do not speak. Do not resist. Stay quiet while the civilizational threat continues.
If we want to honor the 2,977 murdered and the thousands injured, we do not obey the hijacker. We name what drove them: Islam. An ideology that still seeks to impose itself on free people. Do not stay quiet. Use your voice. Never stop exposing it. Never forget. Never submit.
