Shut It Down!

Three shocking statistics: 1. One year ago, 85% of US job market growth was in government and sectors dependent on government spending like health and education. 2. In 2024, one third of GDP came from government spending, a record high excluding periods of war or crisis; this was financed by 6-7% budget deficits, another peacetime record. 3. Every G20 country has higher average tariff rates than the United States save two, and most countries hide the true costs in expensive barriers like quotas, price controls, labeling requirements, and testing rules.

NATO

NATO is no longer an institution focused on global peace and stability. Instead, it is a massive drain on the American econ. omy and military which makes the world, and America, less secure and less stable. Designed to prevent another world war, it now seems intent on provoking one.  And without America—and especially America’s taxpayers—footing the bill to protect a continent with zero interest in protecting itself, NATO will simply wither on the vine, a perfect metaphor for the fecklessness of Europe over the last century. If the institution no longer serves our interests yet relies entirely on our treasury, then it is an institution that has outlived its usefulness.  It is long past time for America to leave NATO. This will have the dual benefit of freeing up resources better deployed to protecting America, and forcing Europe and its collection of hapless welfare states to pay for their own security and fully reap the harvest of their own choices for once.
