The only true solution to the border crisis is a complete moratorium on any and all immigration and asylum claims.  As unfair as this may be to those who have followed the law and are waiting in line, our crisis has reached a boiling point.

New York’s liberal politicians need to lower taxes if they want more people to stay (NY Post). The Census Bureau released new data Tuesday showing that New York is hemorrhaging its most valuable resource — people — at an alarming rate. From July 2022 to July 2023, the latest data available, 217,000 more people left New York than moved there. For context, 166,000 people died in New York during that time. So many more people are leaving the state than are dying there that the effect on the population is worse than a doubling of the death rate. If the politicians overseeing this mass exodus wonder why it’s happening, they need only look in the nearest mirror. Their high taxes, wasteful government spending and soft-on-crime policies are among the self-inflicted wounds slowly bleeding New York dry.

The more Trump is indicted, the more he rises in the polls. That correlation doesn't prove causation, but what it does prove is that most Americans have so much distrust in the justice system and DOJ that even felony indictments don't undermine Trump's standing with the public.

Congress is a fundamentally broken institution, sadly - I believe - beyond repair. Don’t put your faith in its members, no matter how much you may like what they have to say. When push comes to shove - they will eventually cave. They are in it for themselves. Not to serve. The one thing about Congress, it will always guarantee that 535 unremarkable, unsuccessful people will always have a job.
